Spindle whorl; cast lead spindle whorl of uncertain date. Biconical whorl with large, circular hole through the centre. Decorated on both faces with moulded decoration of lines and pellets. The lines are in ‘zig-zag’ style, forming a four-pointed star around the central hole and there is a single pellet within each arm of the star. One face also has pellets in each angle of the exterior of the star but these are missing on the other face. The whole has a thick, even, cream-brown patina over its surface. Diameter 27.1mm, thickness 8.3mm, weight 27.95g
