A corroded and incomplete cast copper-alloy Colchester brooch dating to the late Iron Age to early Roman period, c. 25-65 AD. This is a one-piece example with rearward facing hook at the top of the head (L.: 6.3mm). This hook retains the external chord of the spring; at one end the spring beyond is lost, along with the pin. On the other side the spring coil is complete and curves through three loops from the point at which it emerges from the head. A worn and corroded cast copper alloy Post Medieval (1550-1650 AD) double looped buckle frame. The narrowed pin bar terminates in rounded lobes. The pin has been lost completely. The reverse of the buckle is flat, and the frame is steeply bevelled both internally and externally. The outer edge of each loop is decorated with lobed knops at each end flanking a larger knop in the centre, the central knop is futher decorated with transverse grooves. Neatly shaped cast lead alloy weight, pointed oval in plan, profile and section with convex sides and breaks at both ends, one more recent and larger. The sides are each decorated with three raised ribs. It probably had a suspension loop at the more broken end and is a fishing weight of late Medieval - Post medieval date. See LANCUM-D0A1E6 for similarf, but complete, example. It is 41.7mm long, 19.8mm wide and 14.4mm thick; it weighs 42.75 grams.

An incomplete early-medieval (5th-century) brooch, best classified as a radiate-headed brooch. This incomplete brooch is cast in copper alloy, with traces of an iron pin. The brooch has a semi-circular head-plate with three flat semi-circular knobs. The head is decorated with ring-and-dot motifs: three on the semi-circular headplate, with a further ring-and-dot in each knob.
