A Roman copper alloy bow brooch of Langton Down Type dating to the mid 1st century AD (25-60 AD). The brooch is incomplete and is represented by the head and upper bow only with a surviving length of 13.5mm and a weight of 4.41grams. The brooch employed a spring mechanism, of which up to 5 coils survive, one in the centre, 3 to one side and one to the other. The spring is within an incomplete cylindrical cover which forms the head. This cover is open ended and has been formed of a flat sheet which has been pinched closed. Roman copper alloy nummus of unclear emperor, reverse type and mint, 318-402 AD. The coin has a break to one side which appears to be a circular piercing which has broken towards one edge. While pierced Roman coins have been found in both Roman and Anglo Saxon contexts the practice appears more common and 4th century coins are more commonly used in the latter period.

Roman copper alloy nummus of Constantine I (306-337), BEATA TRANQVILLITAS reverse type (globe on altar), minted in Trier, 322-323 AD, RIC VII 368. The coin is pierced at 3 o'clock on the obverse and reverse, the piercing is worn but with a small tear. While pierced Roman coins have been found in both Roman and Anglo Saxon contexts the practice appears more common and 4th century coins are more commonly used in the latter period.
