CORONER'S REPORT The coins were found by Mrs M. Dandy with the aid of a metal detector on 15th November 2008. Another hoard (2008 T622) was found at the same site on 22nd October 2008. Another hoard was found in the same area in an intact pot sealed with a bung on 20th November 2008 (2008 T723) by Mrs M. Dandy and Mrs E. Hood. Pottery brought in alongside these cases belonged to two vessels, as discussed below. A cast copper alloy strap slide. The front of the slide is wide with a rounded top. The strap slide is trapezoidal in shape, with no gaps in the frame, but it has a drilled hole on the back section of the frame. This dates to the 13th - 17th Century.

A cast copper alloy fragment from a medieval knife handle. The object shows signs of moulded decoration. The iron tang of the knife proper remains in situ, but it is badly corroded. The object is very worn and rusted. It is medieval to post-medieval in date.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy object, which could be a mount. The object is formed from a flat, plate with a rounded knop on the rounded edge. The surviving piece is semi-circular in shape. The opposite edge is badly damaged and corroded. The metal is a mid greenish-brown colour.
