A fragment probably from a copper-alloy medieval composite strap-end. It is sub-trapezoidal in plan. The attachment end is incurved slightly. A rivet at this end joins the two sheet plates. After c. 11.2mm there is a central rectangular hole c. 4.5mm wide. On one side the object is truncated just after the openwork hole; on the other it continues as a tapering prong for a maximum of 6.85mm on one of the sheets. A medieval copper-alloy plate of folded sheet construction presumably for a clasp. The plate is of trefoil or trilobe form, with the lower fold only attaining c. 11.5mm of the length of the upper; this is enough to overlap for the two perforations at this wider end. The frame is missing, but as there is no pin provision it is suggested that this must have related to a strap fitting other than a buckle, possibly a clasp. Cast copper alloy Medieval bar mount in the form of a large central oval flanked by two ovals. The central part is domed with a concave back and decorated with 4 transverse grooves. The ends are also domed and each contains a seperate circular sectioned rivets. The rivets are held in place by what appears to be solder and have slightly flattened ends suggesting they were used. Medieval or Post Medieval cast copper alloy buckle frame. The frame has two oval loops with bevelled inner and outer edges. The strap bar is narrowed with some iron corrosion, possibly the remains of the pin. It is 22.8mm long, 18.2mm wide, 2.2mm thick and weighs 2.00 grams. Whitehead (2003) illustrates a very similar buckle on page 53, No. 295, which he dates to c.1350-1650 AD.

'Female' tag from a pair of silvered copper alloy hooked tags. The tag is flat, D-shaped in plan and has a rectangular bar at one end. Evenly spaced around the perimeter are three integral trefoil shaped loops for attachment to the cloth. The perimeter of the surface is decorated with punched ring and dot motifs. In the centre of the face is a flower or plant a single stem terminating with circular ?berries. The surface has been silvered or tinned.
