An incomplete copper-alloy brooch of late Iron Age to early Roman date. This artefact would appear to be a la Tène III type brooch, which is of suggested mid 1st century BC to late 1st century AD date (see Hattatt, 1982, p. 57).
The brooch has been made in one piece, from a strip of copper-alloy. The widest point of the bow is about one third of the way down. From here, the sides taper gradually to the point where the brooch is broken, just above the foot. The width of the brooch also tapers upwards, towards the head.
