A gold Roman aureus of Nero (AD 54-68), dating to the period c.AD 64-65 (Reece period 3). AVGVSTVS GERMANICVS reverse type depicting Nero radiate and togate left, holding branch and Victory on globe. Mint of Rome. As RIC I (2nd ed.), p. 153, no. 46. Sutherland suggests that the legend refers to the signal success of Corbulo in Armenia in AD 63 (RIC I, p.145). This coin is one of the first issues struck after Nero reduced the weight of gold and silver coins in AD 64. Diameter: 20.0mm. Mass: 6.80g.

A copper alloy post medieval stud. The head is globular in shape with a regular surface. There are signs of white metal around the bottom of the head where it joins the shaft, along with some small specks on the shaft itself. The shaft is circular in section and very regular, terminating in a rounded end. The shaft is 19.2mm in length and 4.2mm in thickness.

A copper-alloy thimble, dating to the 15th - 16th century. The thimble is short with a rounded top. The indentations in the thimble are circular and have been arranged in a spiral. This thimble has been cast as one piece. The thimble does not thicken around the base, the rim is undecorated. The metal is a dark brownish-green colour. The metal has cracked. Parallels can be seen in Egan (2005), p132, fig: 126.

Early Post Medieval copper alloy domed button with drilled integral shank on the reverse. It is 27mm in diameter and weighs 6.9g. The button depicts a crude, grooved image of a crowned head with shoulder length wavy hair. The crown has three peaks above a horizontal band. Large Romano British furniture mount, slightly convex-sided cone with collared terminal knop, projecting from a rectangular base (30 x 26mm, 4mm thick). There is a concentric line of punched dots at the junction between cone and base and twin bordering lines containing short transverse lines around the outer edge of the face of the base. Rectangular-sectioned (6 x 5mm) iron shank inserted into, and broken-off flush with, flat reverse. Diameter 23mm. Length 30mm. Weighs 54.98g. Early Medieval Anglo Saxon cast copper alloy cruciform brooch fragment, head and upper part of bow only; 5th-6th century. This has been heat affected, presumably through inclusion in a cremation. Medieval cast copper alloy annular brooch, incomplete. The brooch has six evenly spaced, raised, slightly outward leaning knobs, giving the brooch a coronet-like appearence. This is reminiscent of medieval 13th/15th century collet-set annular brooches. There appears to have been a constriction to take the pin between two of the knops; this is now broken off; it's length would have been c.4mm. Powdery light green surface. Diameter 27.5mm, thickness at knops c.5mm, thickness between knops c.1.5mm-2.5mm, weight 4.57g.

An incomplete copper alloy seal matrix of Post-Medieval date. Late sixteenth/seventeenth century (c. AD 1575 – c. AD 1700). Length: 12.0mm; width: 15.3mm and 13.8mm thick. Weight: 3.46g. The matrix consists of cast copper alloy oval die which has a soldered sheet copper alloy tube, oval in cross-section. Part of the tube is missing and the surviving part is damaged and misshapen.
