Cast lead weight, circular in plan and flat in profile with an incuse or concave internal area. The wieght may have originally been stamped internally, but it is too scored now to be sure. The weight of 221.14 grams equates to 7.8 ounces, so this may have originally been used for 8 ounces. Egan (2001) illustrates a similar example on page 312, Fig.232, No.981, which is dated to the 13th century. Bailey (1993) illustrates similar examples of home-made lead weights used by traders on page 29, and a free-standing weight with a raised edge on page 33, No.43.

Incomplete cast copper alloy receptacle foot, sub-rectangular in plan and tri-lobed in section, with three remaining ribs and a broken edge on either side which would have originally extended to the full width of a claw foot, probably from the end of the leg of a cauldron. Butler and Green (2003) illustrates two cauldron feet on pages 144-5, Nos.149-150 which are dated to the 17th century. Read (1988) illustrates similar foots on page 95-6, Nos.589 & 595, which are dated from the 13th to the 17th century.

Incomplete cast copper alloy receptacle leg, sub-rectangular in plan and pelta-shaped in section, probably from a cauldron, with a central mid-rib expanding towards the slightly everted foot end. One of the 'claws' of the foot is missing and the top end has broken off so that the original length is unknown. Read (1988) illustrates a similar leg on page 95, No.588, which dates from the 13th to the 17th century. Butler and Green (2003) illustrate a Westcountry cauldron on page 165, No.170, which also has long legs with a central rib, which dates from the 15th to the 16th century; and a …
