Incomplete lead cloth seal, for a worsted cloth from Norwich, c.1650-1705. The seal presumably has NORWICH hidden in the folded disc (Geoff Egan pers comm). One side of the seal is embossed with letters: C B D S R I I I I The letters are the surname initials of the twelve Wardens of the Worsted Weavers Company of the city, listed in the order in which they swore to uphold the Company's regulations for the specific year, as recorded in the Mayor's Court Book (cf. Description: Three small fragments of a silver Early Medieval hooked tag. The fragments are c.40% of a circular head formed from plate silver. Extending from the top of the head are two semi-circular, pierced attachment loops, one is complete although with a crack in one side and the other is broken with c.70% remaining. Incomplete Early Medieval silver strap end (9th - 10th century AD). The strap end is flat and has breaks at both ends. The attachment end (where it was attached to the strap) is split to hold the strap, this end has broken edges and the rivet holes are lost. The sides taper inwards gradually from the attachement end before ending in an old, irregular break. About a third to a half of the probable original lengh is lost including any terminal. An incomplete copper-alloy socketed axehead of late Bronze Age date. The upper part of the axehead, including the socket, is missing. The artefact has been cast in a two-piece mould and is hollow. As the thickness tapers, the width expands gradually towards the convex cutting edge, which has been flattend through use. The surface of the axe bears traces of a black coating. The remainder of the surface has a light green patina. The object measures 42.2mm long, 37.7mm wide (at the blade) and 14.2mm thick (at the point of the break). The weight is 58.97g.

Lower end of a silver strapend. Leaf-shaped with a damaged lower edge, the front is divided into three fields containing Trewhiddle Style animal ornament. There is a hole in the centre of the strapend, from which a crack towards the broken edge emanates. The back of the strapend is plain except from some light scratches. The hole is surrounded by slightly raised rim, suggesting that it was punched through from the front. A fragment from the butt end of a part-polished flint axehead. The axe has a medium to dark grey flint, with a number of rust marks on the surfaces suggesting damage by the plough. It has a thick, oval shaped cross section with polishing restricted to the sides and higher portions of the axe only. The end of the butt is missing due to old breaks, perhaps also caused by a plough. The main break also shows evidence for a number of smaller flakes being removed, possibly this was deliberate and the object was re-used as a core, or perhaps this is also the result of plough damage. A copper alloy Roman Colchester derivative brooch fragment. The wing cases are semi-cylindrical, and two coils survive but the pin is missing. The remains of the spring chord is held in the rearward facing hook. The bow is flat-backed with a shallow D-shaped section. The upper half has a central rib extending from the hook, and a central groove continues down the length of the bow. The lower terminal and catchplate are missing. The brooch measures 25.26mm in surviving length, 16.35mm in width and weighs 2.15g.

A complete large unpatinated flint flake core. It has a dark grey and black flint with traces of cortex and unbroken flint covering approximately fifteen to twenty percent of the outer surfaces. It is irregular in shape and has multiple platforms. This example measures 93.74mm in length, 57.53mm in width, 48.96mm in thickness, and weighs 260.97g. It dates to the later Prehistoric period, c.4,500 to 1 BC.

A fragment of a tinned copper alloy spoon dating to the first or second century AD. The fragment comprises just over half of damaged shallow circular bowl, with a diameter of 25mm) and a wide thickened rim. On the underside of the bowl is a triangular ridge which extends to form a circular section stem. The stem is damaged and the break is recent. This spoon can be classified as a Crummy Type 1 (Crummy 1983, p. 70)

A complete flint flaked tranchet axehead of Mesolithic date. The flint is a pale to medium grey colour with rust-red/brown, and mainly linear, iron staining on the prominent flake ridges, in particular on one face. This may be the result of plough damage. The axehead has an oval blade and a pointed butt end, with relatively heavy flaking on all surfaces. It measures 134.55mm in length, 57.22mm in width, 30.49mm in thickness, and weighs 231.50g. This axehead is of Mesolithic date.
