A Roman copper-alloy coin, probably an as, of Maximus (AD 235-238), dating to AD 236-8 (Reece Period 11), PIETAS AVG S C (emblems of the priestly colleges), Mint of Rome. (Reece period 11). RIC Vol. IV Part II, no.12b. The original record stated dupondius or as, but dupondii of Maximus are very rare and this is quite a light coin (6.18g) for a dupondius.
