Two sherds of Crambeck Parchment Ware, a hard brittle white/buff fabric. circa 300-400 AD. One sherd of rim from a parchment ware flanged bowl, most likely BF5 form. Red-brown painted decoration to interior, with repeating geometric 'S' shape design. An off-white slip/wash has been applied to the outer rim. 33g. One sherd is of vessel base, most likely a similar form to the previous sherd. Vessel walls have been completely removed, possibly due to later re-use. 61g.

Post medieval cast lead alloy musket ball with prominint casting seam and spune. The ball is 15.9mm in diameter and weighs 24.97 grams. A ball mould was found on this site (SUSS-96AEB1) and although this is too big for that mould it was possibly manufactured on site. Musket balls found in England generally date from after 1644 and the majority are 17th and 18th century.

A slightly corroded complete cast copper-alloy stirrup-strap mount of late early-medieval date (11th century AD). It belongs to Williams's Class A and can be classified as a Type 13 mount (Williams 1997, 75-76). The mount is sub-lozengiform. It features a circular lobe at the attachment end. Five pieces of copper alloy of various size. The pieces were found over 20 years ago near Bronze Age items including axes which were previously on display in Arundel Museum and a chisel (SUSS-00F4DA). Ben Roberts (Curator of Bronze Age material, British Museum) commented that none of the five were distincly Bronze Age in form and all of them may be Bronze Age or equally may be later pieces.
