An incomplete cast copper alloy dress hook of probable Post-Medieval, seventeenth century date (AD 1600 – AD 1700). Length: 23.8mm; width; 18.8mm and 11.0mm thick. Weight: 2.71g. This probable dress hook is sub-triangular in plan and anthropomorphic in style. It is convex at the front and concave at the rear. When complete it had three perforated lugs that enabled it to be sewn to a garment. The lugs were situated, one at the top and one at each side. Early Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy pin or toilet implement. It has a rounded and transversely perforated apex with vertical lines of oblique notches on front and back, above a flattened mid-section which is decorated on both faces with very finely engraved oblique cross-hatching, dying out where the object is worn and corroded at an oblique bend at the mid-point. The lower end becomes circular-sectioned and tapers to a point. There is a wire suspension ring contained within the perforated apex, with ends overlapped and twisted around in similar manner to the slip-knot wire rings excavated…

Gold posy ring with narrow hoop, the hoop broken and repaired, engraved on the exterior with flower and leaves, and inside with the inscription 'Let Vertue be a guide to ..ee [thee]. There is also a stamped maker's mark which is only partly legible, but may read S (?) above GW. This square form of mark with two rows of maker's initials is normally found from the mid-18th century onwards. There is no evidence to date this ring pre-1705.

A copper-alloy Colchester one-piece brooch Mackreth 2011, C 1 of 1st century date. The brooch is incomplete, bent and heavily corroded. The head has flat wings and a spring of nine coils which emanates from the underside of the head. There is an axis bar and an external chord which passes through a rearward lug on top of the head. The upper part of the bow is roughly horizontal, while the much longer lower part is sub-vertical. It is of oval section and tapers gradually towards the pointed foot.
