An incomplete cast copper alloy and enamelled zoomorphic (fish) brooch of Roman date (c. AD 100 - c. AD 200). Length: 31.1mm; width: 9.8mm and 5.3mm thick. Weight: 2.26g.
The tail and most of the catch-plate is missing due to old breaks. The pin is also missing. The edges of the plate are incomplete, possibly due to corrosion.

Late Post Medieval to early Modern copper alloy skirt lifter. The attachment loop and inner sliding mechanism are intact. The remaining attachment plate is in the shape of a butterfly. The butterfly wings are made from pressed or stamped thin sheets of copper alloy decorated with an intricate pattern. The skirt lifter's chain and the other attachment plate are missing. The skirt lifter was a scissors-like device with, instead of blades, two small circular plates, one at each end opposite of the handles. Cast cu-alloy strap end dating from the early medieval period, i.e. c. AD800-1100. The strap-end is incomplete and its surface is heavily corroded. Its main decoration consists of openwork; it does not seem have display any other (e.g. punched) decoration. While the lower part and the moulded knop terminal are still intact, the upper part is damaged and very likely broken. The breaks are too worn to indicate how much of the strap end has broken off. a copper alloy medieval horizontal harness mount. It is a flat, rectangular decorative bar mount 74.17mm in length and 9.45mm wide. The mount has moulded decoration dividing it into five square elements, the central one having two arms extending 9.8mm below the bar, each pierced with a rivet hole. An incomplete lead-filled cast copper-alloy artefact - probably a Roman steelyard weight. The artefact is anthropomorphic, specifically cast in the form of a female head. As implied the bronze was cast hollow and filled with lead, the latter corroded to an off-white colour. The base is open and oval in form, slightly pointed. A cast lead pendant weight. The weight has a lozenge shaped section with a shallow ridge down the centre of each side and a raised ridge on each edge. There is a perforated suspension loop at the apex of the weight, also with a lozenge shaped section. There is a small depression in the base of the weight. Some faint vine of a leaf-like lines can be seen on the surface of the weight.
The date and function of this weight remains unclear.

A cast copper alloy single looped D - shaped buckle frame with narrowed and offset strap bar. The frame is D shaped in section with a flat back and has four prominent lobed knops divided by three transverse grooves on the outer edge. The buckle measures 16.3mm long by 19.4mm wide. It is 2.0mm thick and weighs 1.45grams. These buckles date from circa AD 1350 - 1450. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, 2003, p21.

A medieval seal matrix of circa 14th century AD date.
The seal is circular in plan, with a bearded man’s face inside double tressure of three arches and three angles, which in turn is inside a circle. The legend reads: *IESVS EST AMOR MEVS [symbol] ('Jesus is my friend'). A perforated lug handle is situated at the top of the reverse side.
The object measures 24.4mm in diameter, 3mm thick (9mm thick with the handle), and weighs 9.5g.

A cast lead star consisting of eight wavy rays radiating outwards from the centre. It has been pierced in the centre and the remains of an iron fixing can be found within this hole. Several of the ends of the sections appear to have broken away. The rays were D-shaped in section, although only one of these remains intact the others are damaged and broken off. The star is likely to have been part of a roof vault decoration.

A cast copper alloy single looped oval buckle, with an ornate outer edge. The buckle has two very prominent lobed knops on the outer edge flanking a sheet copper alloy roller. The copper alloy wire pin is present, it is 1.2mm in diameter and looped loosely around the strap bar. The strap bar is narrow and off-set. The buckle measures 19.1mm long by 23.1mm wide. It is 4.5mm thick and weighs 4.28 grams. These buckles date from circa AD 1250 - 1400. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, 2003, p23.

a late Early Medieval Ringerike-style animal head stirrup terminal. The head is circular with a crest, and consists mostly of an openwork circular 'eye' 9.45mm in diameter, with a marked brow and nose. Grooves on either side help to emphasise the nose. A cast copper alloy double looped buckle frame. The buckle has two oval loops. There is a moulded rosette at the middle of the outer edge of both loops. There are moulded knops at either end of the strap bar, which is narrowed. The pin is missing. The outer edges of the frame are curved. The reverse and inner edges are flat.
