A fragment of a cast copper alloy cooking vessel. The fragment is sub semi-circular in plan, with an elongated drop-shaped hole in the centre. This hole is where the handle or chain would be suspended from and the upper edge is worn. The lower edge of the object is broken and also slightly off-set. The break is not too recent. One face of the fragment has heavy deposits of a black carbon substance, which is presumably the exterior. The surface of the object has a mottled dark green patina and has fine file marks. A cast copper alloy incomplete spoon. The spoon bowl remains and this is a sub-drop shape in plan. It is concave on the upper surface and convex on the reverse. The upper edge is broken, and this break is not recent. The reverse of the bowl, near this break, has a central triangular sectioned linear moulding. The upper surface of the bowl has traces of a white alloy coating, the reverse has an incomplete brown coloured patina. A fragment of a cast copper alloy harness fitting of Late Early-Medieval or Medieval date (AD 1000 – AD 1100). Length: 33.0mm; width: 26.2mm and 5.3mm thick. Weight: 10.24g. The fragment consists of a terminal and part of an arm. The terminal is circular in plan and has three evenly placed knobs situated on the outer edge. The upper face of the loop is convex and the underside is largely chamfered with the outer part being flat. A cast copper alloy buckle. In plan the frame is asymmetrical with one trapezoidal shaped loop and the other one semi-circular. The strap bar is sub-triangular in section and the pin is missing. The edges of the frame are bevelled on the exterior edges. The surface of the frame has traces of a dark green patina. The frame is slightly bent in profile. The frame is 18.56mm and 13.88mm wide. The bow is broadly square shaped in plan, orientated with its corners on the vertical and horizontal planes, and with the sides gently curving rather than being entirely straight.
