A fragment of a cast copper alloy vessel leg of Medieval or Post-Medieval date (c. AD 1250 – c. AD 1650). Length: 37.0mm; width: 28.1mm and 17.3mm thick. Weight: 56.94g.
The fragment is the lower portion of the leg (the foot). It is sub-oval in plan and sub-triangular in cross-section, flat on the underside. It is also flat at the rear (the inner face). An old break, at the junction of the foot and the leg of the vessel, is sub-triangular in plan which indicates that the leg was also this shape in cross-section.
The object is corroded and has a patchy light to mid-brown patina.

A complete cast copper alloy buckle of Medieval date (c. AD 1350 - c. 1400). Length: 23.2mm; width: 29.0mm and 11.3mm thick. Weight: 4.68g. The frame is oval in plan with a narrowed offset bar. It is slightly convex at the front and largely flat at the rear. At the centre of the outside edge there is a modest lip with an indistinct notch for the pin. The bar is sub-rectangular in cross-section and measures 3.3mm x 2.6mm. The copper alloy pin is fused to the bar by corrosive deposits.
