Post medieval buckle probably for use with a spur, pin missing. Asymmetrical frame angled around bar, one loop oval, the other trapezoidal, lobe at both ends of bar, around which a very robust plate is folded. The plate has a deep pin slot and a hooked terminal, and is missing the attachment edge of its rear apart. Frame 25 x 23.5mm. Plate 23 x 11mm. Thickness of plate up to 2mm. Cf. Whitehead 2003 no. 565. 17th century.

Medieval incomplete and distorted gilt rectangular probable buckle plate, attachment edge and parts of sides, rivet holes near the two corners, one with rivet. Equal-arm brooch of very unusual type, with much of the surface obscured by pockmarks and corrosion, flap of catchplate missing and iron staining around pin lug. Both arms are decorated with three sets of transverse grooves, the outer two separated from the inner one by a flat area with chamfered edges. On the D-sectioned bow a double median groove runs between rectangular panels forming facets at the ends. Both panels are decorated with transverse grooves.

Middle Saxon Ansate brooch with simple rounded terminals, one of which is worn or incomplete. Decoration consists of four groups of short longitudinally of five and six engraved lines, at both terminals, at both ends of the bow and at its very abruptly angled mid-point. Those at the worn end are scarcely visible. The pin lug is entirely encased in the remains of the spring and the flap of the short and high catchplate is missing. Thorle 2001 Gruppe X A3. Roman silver finger ring fragment. It is 15mm long, 12mm wide and 4mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a silver patina and weighs 2.75grams. The object consists of an oval sectioned loop which widens to accomodate a circular bezel which contains part of a circular depression which would have held an intaglio.

A lead alloy token which is medieval or early post medieval in date. The token is circular with a diameter of 19.1mm and is 1.8mm thick. There is a design on both faces, both of which are unintelligible. On one face is a pentagon with the lines crossing at each corner. Inside is a line descending from one corner to the centre, and a pellet on each side of it. This could represent a face or a crown. A probable medieval mount, copper-alloy and roughly circular in shape c26.66mm in diameter. The front face has a flatter outer part and a raised circular boss divided into four quarters, each quarter holds a blue enamel. The flatter outer part has gilding and three circular rivet holes, one of which has a copper-alloy rivet in situ. The back face is hollow and both faces have active powdery green corrosive products.
