Roman copper alloy key, 31mm long, 14mm wide and 3.5mm thick. The object is in poor condition with a green patina and weighs 3.94g. The object is rectangular in form and section and is badly damaged. At one end it has a Y shaped terminal which is probably the base of a broken bow, and at the other end there is a rectangular protrusion which is part of the bit. The bit is set at right angles to the plane of the bow, suggesting a Roman date.
