The buckle is 35.26mm in length, 15mm wide, 2.47mm thick and weighs 2g.

A large pin cast in copper-alloy, probably from a medieval buckle. The pin is long, slender and tapers to a point. The other end has been bent round into a loop. On the internal face there is some recessing including a triangular nick to retain the loop. In plan the pin bends slightly in one direction. Viewed in profile the pin bends upwards slightly at the tip. Its colour is now a mid-dark green. The size and simplicity of the pin suggests that it may have come from a large buckle, as opposed to a brooch.
