Cast copper alloy pot leg from a cooking vessel. The leg is roughly triangular in section from side to side The front of the leg has raised central ridge running from top to bottom. A rounded pot would usually have been supported by three such legs. These legs vary in design, shape and dimensions and are broadly dated from the the mid-late medieval period to the early post-medieval period (c.1350-1650) due to a lack of excavated examples from securely datable contexts.

A copper-alloy ring of probable late Iron Age to early Roman date. The form of this piece suggests that it is a harness ring. Several similar examples were found in a hoard of 1st century BC to 1st century AD metalwork at Camerton, Somerset (R.Jackson; 1990; pp.49). for a similar example on the PAS database, see BH-5ECDA1. The ring is circular in plan, solid and has a horizontal ridge at the centre of the outer edge. One side is heavy worn on both the inner and outer edge. The object measures 23.8mm in diameter, 5.7mm thick and weighs 9.71g.

Double-conical lead weight with central vertical perforation, ca. 9mm wide. The weight is decorated in high-relief on both sides: while one surface displays a six pointed star with raised dots between the spikes of the star, the other shows a very crude pattern of alternating lines and dots. This kind of lead weight is a very frequent metal-detecting find, especially on ploughed and pasture land. There is some archaeological evidence for these lead weights to have been used as spindle whorls in the 16th/17th century (pers. comm. Dr Kevin Leahy), but has been suggested that they could …
