Fragment of a cast copper alloy cruciform brooch of the Early Medieval period. The object is very worn. There are wings, giving the object a truncated T-shaped plan. The base of the object has two wide, slightly raised bands. There is a rounded catchplate perpendicular to the reverse of the brooch. A similar example is known from Coddenham, Suffolk.

Cast copper alloy book clasp dating to the post-medieval period. The object is flat-sectioned. At the end that would have attached to the book, the object flares. There are two perforations with rivets intact just inside the flared end of the clasp. In the centre of the object is a circle, quartered by two intersection sets of parallel lines. In each quarter is a perforation, with a drilled but not perforated circle in the centre. Fragment of a cast copper alloy rowel spur. The object comprises the side and neck; there are traces of gilding. The side extends in a shallow curve; this is decorated with an incised foliate motif. The neck extends away from the side, curving upwards; there is a collar below an extension to the neck, this extension being the area of attachment for the rowel.

Cast lead pilgrim ampulla. There is some decoration in relief on the obverse, but this is too worn to be discerned. The object is largely complete, with angular handles between the base and the neck of the ampulla. The left handle is miscast and therefore not perforated. There are no signs of crimping at the top of the neck; it is possible that this ampulla was never used.

Incomplete Roman copper alloy brooch of 1st century AD probably of the Colchester type. The brooch consists of the bow which tapers to a point and the catchplate. The brooch has a shiny green patina. The length of the bow is decorated with wavy lines in sunk relief cf. Hattatt (1989) 253,254,255. The edges of the bow are rounded with the back of the bow remaining undecorated. The bow is a thin oval in cross section with the catchplate being almost rectangular in shape. The brooch is 31mm in length and weighs 1.5g.

Post medieval copper alloy shoe or knee buckle frame missing its iron axis bar and probable anchor chape. It measures 36.4x22.3 (internal measurements 21.2x11.1mm) and weighs 6.95g. The frame is 'trapezium' shaped (oval with incurved long edges) and decorated with a moulded leaf around the consrtiction for the pin. A moulded leaf flanks each side of the frame around the axis bar, at both ends. There is a very similar buckle in Read 1988, no.944. Dates to the late 17th/ 18th century.

Incomplete Roman copper alloy brooch possibly of the T-shape type dating from 1st-2nd century AD. The brooch only has the right hand wing which is enclosed, and is very regular and cylindrical in shape. The brooch is broken at what appears to be a central point along the wingspan. The tubular wings would have held the pin and spring mechanism. At the end of the right hand wing there is an incised longitudinal line. The top of the bow is present with a a lateral line incised towards the right hand side. The brooch measures 16mm in width and 15mm in length. It weighs 3.3g.

The brooch consists of much of the bow with the right hand side knob, incomplete catchplate and the lug which is bent down towards the back of the brooch. Post medieval copper alloy hooked tag, measuring 29.6x(max)13.8mm and weighing 2.08g. The body of the tag is circular (13.8mm diameter) and domed, being hollow to the underside. It depicts in moulded relief a central boss surrounded by six equidistant bosses of the same size. A smaller pellet lies between and to the outside edge of the six bosses. To one edge an attachment loop extends, c.10x6mm (internal 6x3mm). At the opposite edge the pointed hook extends, D-shaped in section, and curving back on itself so the point is just underneath the domed body. 16th/ 17th century in date.

A slightly corroded copper alloy horse harness pendant of 13th to 14th century AD. The pendant is in the form of a small bell without the mount. The pendant has a pierced arm on one side to attatch to the mount. The bell itself is slightly crushed but the pea inside still rattles. Its shape is circular and biconical. It is made up of four triangular pieces bent together. The pendant has a green patina but is corroded around the pierced hole at the top of the arm. 16th century copper alloy book clasp of the flat rectangular type, the hook piece only with part of the iron backplate present. It measures 36.6x15.1x0.8mm and weighs 2.22g. At the centre of one short end the hook projects, 5.4mm in width. The clasp at this point is 10.9mm. It then narrows to the centre, which is 9.7mm wide, before widening again and then suddenly flaring at the end, to 15.1mm. This edge is crenellated. Incomplete Medieval copper alloy double oval buckle frame, missing its pin. In shape it is rather squashed on the slant. Measures 32.6x26.2mm (internal loops c.10xc.19mm) and weighs 4.92g. One outside edge is decorated with three transverse grooves. The other outside edge is plain. The buckle frame is slightly tilted upwards. It has been coated in a ?preservative material. Cf. two examples in Egan 1991, nos.332 and 333, which date to the second half of the fourteenth century. However buckles of the double oval type continue to the mid-15th century.
