A complete copper-alloy D-shaped, or possibly incomplete double oval looped buckle frame of medieval or early post medieval date, due to wear it is impossible to tell which. Measuring 17.99mm in width and 17.04mm in length. The outer edge and sides have a rounded projecting knop in the centre and there are transverse grooves between these.

A medieval copper alloy rectangular buckle plate decorated with a profile low-relief animal, probably a lion sejant, looking right, away from the two broken hinge loops and towards the attachment end. The tail is long and curved and ends in a tuft, and there is a hint of mane before the indistinct head. There are two rivet holes, one in either corner of the attachment end, with traces of corrosion from iron rivets. 12th to 14th century.
