A complete copper-alloy oval shaped medieval buckle frame with a mass or iron adhering to the side and outer edge, which is probably the remains of an iron pin. It measures 24.31mm in width and 16.89mm in length. The bar is narrowed and offset. The frame has a D-shaped section, rounded front face and flat back face.

The elaborate expanded outer edge of a medieval copper-alloy buckle frame, which appears to have been oval in shape originally. The frame measures 25.77mm in width and the outer edge is 12.92mm in surviving length. The expanded outer edge is rectangular in shape with V-shaped notches in its sides, it has a central groove and to either side of this there are three annulets, over-lying the central groove there is a cluster of fainter annulets, now worn. There is another groove across the end of the outer edge.

A small copper-alloy probable buckle frame of medieval date. Oval in shape with a projecting central rounded knob in its outer edge, the bar is not offset or narrowed. The frame has a lozenge-shaped section. It measures 15.48mm in length and 11.46mm in width.

An incomplete copper-alloy Anglo-Scandinavian or early medieval period cheekpiece. Cheekpieces have flat plates with centrally-placed projecting arms for attachment to a leather harness strap, they are used in pairs and each is pierced with a round hole through which the ends of the jointed iron bit projected. This example is part of a Williams type 1 cheekpiece (Williams 2007, unpublished). Type 1 cheekpieces plates are decorated with engraved symmetrical strip-like creatures of late Viking Ringerike inspiration, their heads and bodies creating areas of openwork on each plate. One …

An incomplete copper-alloy medieval harness suspension mount circa 14th century in date. The mount consists of a horizontal rectangular bar with two integral rivets on its flat back face, it has a rounded front face. Projecting from the centre of the lower edge of this horizontal bar is one surviving suspension loop, the other parallel loop is now missing due to a well worn old break. The surviving loop has iron corrosion within it from the horizontal iron bar which would have passed through both loops and from which the harness pendant itself would have been suspended. A complete copper-alloy centre-looped cosmetic pestle of Late Iron Age to Roman date. The rod is crescentic, tapers to a rounded point at either terminal and is D-shaped in secion. There is a large central loop projecting from its centre. The vertical loop has an oval sectioned neck and a circular loop with corroded iron within it. The pestle is 32mm long, 6.81mm wide at its widest central point, 6.52mm thick and 21.95mm in height if the central loop is included.
