Cast copper-alloy early medieval strap end of the late 8th to early 10th century. The item is a Thomas Class A strap end with split end, convex sides and zoomorphic terminal. It falls into the sub-category: 'Type 2: Patterned'. The reverse is plain and the decoration on the upper surface is essentially arranged in three blocks. A copper alloy Colchester one-piece type brooch dating to the first century AD. The brooch possesses small rectangular wings. A small fragment of a hook and single coil of a pin remain. The wings extend to an oval section bow which tapers to a point. The bow is decorated with a vertical band of zig zagged ribbing flanked on each side by a single vertical rib. The catchplate is barely visible and comprises an uneven rib. The brooch measures 89mm in length, 13mm in width at the head and 6mm in width at the bow.

A copper alloy Hod Hill type brooch dating to the first century AD. A small portion of the rolled over headplate with pin recess extends to a rectangular bow with vertical ribbed mouldings. From the bow there extend two tapering wings which are also vertically ribbed. The leg, which is also horizontally ribbed, tapers slightly and ends in a rounded foot. The catchplate is trapezoidal and runs the whole length of the leg. The brooch measures 41mm in length, 26mm in width.

A complete cast copper-alloy medieval seal matrix of conical form. The artefact is worn and is corroded with a grey patina. The handle is faceted hexagonally. It narrows slightly to the suspension loop which takes the form of a truncated lozenge with circular perforation. The circular oval die has suffered some slight circumferential losses. Two heavily abraded wheel made ceramic body sherds. The fabric of the sherds is quite soft with a oxidised orange external surface and a grey interior surface. The sherds do not have any obvious inclusions. Together the sherds weigh 7.9g. The sherds are either Roman or Medieval due to their texture and colour, however, due to the lack of other diagnostic features the date cannot be narrowed down further.

Cast copper alloy bow brooch. The brooch comprises a bow without headplate, and a footplate. For most of its length (18.66mm) the bow has an ovoid cross-section, with flat sides and a ventral ridge. However, at the junction with the pin and spring, at its mid-point and at the junction with the foot the bow has thickened rectangular sections. With the exception of the section of bow at the junction with the foot, which is plain, these sections are decorated with three transverse v-shaped grooves which have probably been incised. A cast copper alloy awl. The awl has a shaft which is two-thirds of the length of the awl which is sub-rectangular in section and tapers in depth, but not width to a blunt point. On one surface towards the terminal there are hammer marks visible. This terminal is also slightly curved in plan. The lower third of the awl is circular in section tapering to a blunt point. This portion is slightly wider than the rectangular section. The awl has a well developed light blue/green patina. It measures 50.57mm long, and 5.85mm. It weighs 5.1g. A mis-cast and unfinished copper alloy wrist clasp dating to the sixth century AD. The clasp comprises a flat rectangular body with horizontal ribbing. Two small, plain, square end plates extend from the body. One possesses a small circular perforation.
