Half of the upper stone of a weathered granite rotary quern with a small central hole for a wooden spindle to hold it to the lower stone of the quern which would have also been perforated centrally. The spindle would have allowed the upper section of the two-part quern to be rotated over the base section, with the grain between the two, so that it was ground into flour. The diameter of the sotne is about 350 mm and the height about 70 cm, and the diameter of the eye or hole about 20 mm. A medieval silver short cross penny, probably of class 7c, currently dated to c. AD1236-1242 (and therefore issued by Henry III). There is some cause for caution, as much of the incsription is missing. Visible lettering is large and coarse, and the bust crude. The coin has a wide, irregular flan, and the reverse die has been misaligned during striking. It measures 18mm x17mm, with a thickness of 0.8mm, and a mass of 1.4g. North 980.

Elongated oval in plan, with sub-triangular faces, made up of five rounded lobes increasing in size towards the centre. Circular perforation (diameter 4.7-5.5mm) through the central lobe. Cast copper alloy disc brooch, incomplete, probably middle to late Anglo-Saxon, 8th to 11th century. Flat, circular and apparently undecorated, it has a transversely set cylindrical lug (length 11.46mm, width 4.2mm) to hold the pin; this is set parallel to the edge of the brooch. At the opposite end is a semi-circular hooked catchplate set perpendicular to the edge of the brooch. The pin is missing. Expanded and angled outer edge, flat on the obverse and slightly convex on the reverse, decorated with double zigzag lines of punched dots. Sub-triangular sectioned side arms, narrowed strap bar with a rounded knop at either end. The pin is missing. Large sherd of a Severn Valley Ware bowl or dish dating from the Roman period (100-400 AD). The sherd comprises the rim and stepped base of the vessel. The sherd is irregular in plan and profile. The fabric is a relatively soft fired earthen ware with a number of small angular and sub-angular grit, quartz and iron stone inclusions. The fabric is also mica rich. There are also a number of oval hollows within the fabric and it is possible that it originally contains oolitic limestone or decayed feldspar. A copper-alloy S-shaped belt fastener of probable late 16th to 17th century AD date (H. Geake; 2001; pp. 36). The cast object takes the form of the heads and necks of two serpents or swans. The moulded surface decoration is executed on all sides of the fitting. Each head has a beak-like nose, well defined ring-shaped eyes and, along the length of the neck, moulded feathers or scales.
