Incomplete stamped lead alnage cloth seal of Charles II (1660-1685), consisting of two sub-circular discs joined by a folded connecting strip. The obverse face bears the image in relief of the bust of Charles II facing right. On the reverse is the image of a crowned thistle with the letter 'I' in the left field, but nothing to the right where the duty in pence is normally represented. Fragment of a cast copper alloy spur with sides that are hemispherical in section with a shallow curve. The neck is oval in section and curves upwards to a straight rowel box, but the terminal and rowel are both missing. Read (2001) illustrates a similar example on page 65, Fig.41, No.498, which is dated to the 17th century.

Cast copper alloy thimble with rounded steel top which has corroded so that the entire thimble is covered in iron oxide, obscuring any pattern on the surface. Bailey (1993) illustrates a similar example on page 14, No.39, which is dated to the 18th century.

Incomplete cast copper alloy mount with trefoil openwork frame, decorated with scrolls and leaf motifs and terminating in a trefoil knop in the form of a fleur de lis. The mount has two integral lugs on the back, worn flat after becoming un-attached. Read (2001) illustrates similar examples on page 35, Fig.20, Nos.300-302, which are dated to the 17th century.

Incomplete cast copper alloy sword belt fitting or baldric ring, circular in profile and D-shaped in section, having a slightly flatter inner edge. The outer surface of the ring or hoop is inlaid with red glass triangles, arranged in a pattern pointing inwards from the edge, so that the alternating copper alloy spaces are triangular or diamond-shaped. The glass is the so called 'sealing wax' glass of the Iron Age, called thus because of the opaque deep red colour. It is technically known as enamel when in fact it is chips of glass inlay.
