A complete Post-Medieval silver-gilt dress-hook of sixteenth century date (c. AD 1500 - c. AD 1600). Treasure case no. 2006 T500 (disclaimed). Length 19.0mm, width 10.1mm. Weight 2.44g. A fragment of a cast copper alloy spoon of probable Late Medieval or Early Post-Medieval date (c. AD 1450 - c. AD 1550). Length 16.0mm, maximum diameter 9.8mm. Weight 3.87g. The object is solid and cast in one piece and consists of a small length of the stem and a complete "writhen" knop. The stem has a length of 4.0mm and is sub-circular in cross-section with a maximum diameter of 4.2mm. It has an old abraded break. A vessel sherd representing approximately half of the floor of a Roman Samian ware bowl. The sherd is convex, typical of the floors of Form 18/31 bowls. The fabric has a dark red-orange slip. On the lower surface is a basal ring (Th.: c. 8mm) whose diameter can be estimated at c. 100mm. Within this are concentric circles from the manufacturing process. There is a loss to the side of the ring. Almost nothing remains of the walls. Central on the upper suface is part of ?potter's stamp; only the letters 'SE?' can be seen. Flanged rim fragment of probable Oxfordshire White-Ware. The fabric is pinky in colour with a white coating. The fragment measures 63.6x53.1x5.2mm (rim hangs 19.9mm and is 11mm thick) and weighs 40.93g. The fragment is probably from a large jar or bowl c.240mm in diameter (possibly a storage jar). It probably dates to the 2nd-4th century.

a complete whetstone of unknown date. It is a light grey stone with a little mica, rectangular in shape with a flattened oval cross-section at the terminals, which are both flat. There are two flat, rectangular areas, each with significant patches of wear, one near each terminal. They have been worked so as to create an angle of 45 degrees between them, resulting in an uworked central bulbous area. The whetstone measures 86.86mm in length and is 20.6mm wide. Cast lead or lead alloy pyramid standing weight of probable medieval date (1300 - 1550). The weight is sub-rectangular in plan and triangular in profile. The width of the weight tapers from the base (where it is widest) to the top. The upper of the weight is deliberately flattened and through this a small irregular hole has been pierced. This hole is off-centre and slightly sloping; it has a diameter of 3.6mm. It is likely that the purpose of this hole is to have aided safe-keeping and storage. Rim fragment of Oxfordshire White-Ware mortaria, including part of pouring lip. The rim is grooved and drops curving downwards, with an additional groove flanking this bottom edge. Possibly Young's type M22. The fragment measures 122x97x10.8mm (rim 12mm thick) and weighs 264.04g. The fabric is white in colour with a tinge of red and set with rounded red and black inclusions on the inside surface. This ware was produced from the second to the end of the fourth century.

Post medieval copper alloy pipe tamper with a roughly circular bezel engraved with the initials IB within a circle of punched dots. This stands proud on a ring 25x23mm in diameter (internal 19.8x17.4mm). On the opposite side of the ring to the bezel is a collared projection, broken and hollow, apparantly with a screw thread on the outside, which would probably date this to at least the 18th century. An irregularly shaped sherd from the floor of a Roman Samian ware bowl. The sherd is markedly convex, typical of the floors of Form 31 bowls. The fabric is hard with a dark red-brown slip: it can be classified as Lezoux samian 2 (LEZ SA 2). On the lower surface there are concentric circles from the manufacturing process. Central on the upper suface is a complete ?potter's stamp (L.: 27.6mm, W.: 3.9mm). The inscription, 'RIIOGENI M', has been found on form 31 bowls on the Antonine Wall (Hartley 1972, 17). A complete cast copper-alloy Post Medieval Hooked Tag. The circular plate is hollow behind and depicts a relief of a male head, possibly intended to be Jesus Christ.
