Incomplete cast copper alloy pendant suspension mount with separate rivets and incomplete integral suspension loop at one terminus and broken rivet hole at the other, with one rivet remaining intact in between. Lozenge-shaped in plan and flat in profile. Read (2001) illustrates two similar examples on page 42, Fig.25, Nos.363 & 365, which are dated to the 17th century.

Solid, die-cut, domed, silvered copper alloy two-piece livery button embossed with the head of a unicorn under a crown which is the crest of the Bassets, and was worn on the uniform of coachmen and the like. The reverse still retains its attachment loop which is surrounded by the manufacturer's name, FIRMIN & CO. STRAND . LONDON, a company that produced livery buttons during the 19th century. The Basset family lived at Tehidy until the 1890s and this particular backmark or trade mark of Firmin & Co. Strand London, dates its manufacture to c.1875-1894.

Incomplete, solid, die-cut, domed, silvered copper alloy two-piece livery button embossed with the head of a unicorn under a crown which is the crest of the Bassets, and was worn on the uniform of coachmen and the like. The Basset family lived at Tehidy until the 1890s and this button is like another found with it which has the backmark or trade mark of Firmin & Co. Strand London, dating its manufacture to c.1875-1894. The button is missing its attachment loop and much more corroded than the other button found at the same site. 19th century

Cast iron round shot or cannon ball, partly corroded so that there is little sign of a mid-rib or casting mark. The cannon ball weighs 480g which is about 1lb, and is almost 50 mm in diameter, or 2 inches, which was common in the 18th century. A cannon is any large tubular firearm designed to fire a heavy projectile over a considerable distance. Although a variety of such guns are commonly referred to as 'cannon', the term specifically refers to a gun designed to fire a 42lb shot as opposed to a Demi-cannon (32lb), Culverin (18lb) or Demi-culverin (9lb). Incomplete cast copper alloy keyhole escutcheon with symmetrical foliate openwork on either side of the moulded head of a cherub. The top of the keyhole remains, but the bottom half of the escutcheon, which would have completed the keyhole, has broken off. Read (1988) illustrates a drawer-handle with similar decoration on page 203, No.1423, which is dated to the 18th century. Bailey (1993) illustrates a very similar gilded example on page 16, No.6, which is dated to the 18th century.

A Roman copper alloy fragment of a Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, Midlands) brooch. Circa 80-120 AD). The brooch is broken across the bow so that the foot, the end of one arm, and the majority of the pin are missing. The wings are semi-cylindrical and cover the spring that has six turns on the complete arm. A Roman copper-alloy incomplete Colchester two-piece brooch, double lug type (circa 50-75 AD). The brooch has a plate at the back of the head that is pierced twice; the axis bar for the now-missing spring would have passed through the lower hole and the external chord would have been located within the upper.
