A Roman copper alloy incomplete terminal or toggle (AD43-410). The terminal has a circular cross-section with two large raised ridges just above the rounded terminal knob. Above the ridges the cross-section becomes flattened with a rectangular section at the top from which two transver bars projection (one is missing) presumably to allow a pivoting action. This terminal is probably of military association. Dimensions: Length 36.92mm; diameter 10.65mm; weight 9.74g

A late Bronze Age copper alloy fragment of a bun-shaped ingot . The fragment has a plano-convex cross-section that is flat on the lower surface and slightly domed on the upper surface, the fractured edge shows a large grain size commensurate with rough casting. The shape and thickness of the fragment is uneven. Copper alloy ingot fragments are common in hoards of the Ewart Park phase of the late Bronze Age circa 1000-800 BC. A Medieval copper alloy incomplete double looped buckle (14th – 15th century). The buckle has a D-shaped frame that curves in towards the crossbar where there is a knop projecting at the junction between the frame and the cross-bar on each side. The frame also has a pointed knop in the center of each of the outer edges and a pointed projection internally within the frame. The inward pointing projection is more pronounced on one side. An Early Medieval (Anglo Saxon) copper alloy incomplete strap-end (9th century). This is a Class A strap-end with a split end, curving sides and probably a zoomorphic terminal but the terminal is missing on this example (Thomas 2003). The split end has a central notch to create a bi-lobed edge. There are two rivets (both missing), one in each of the lobes. On the front surface there is a central panel of inlaid niello forming an diaper pattern with long crescentic stamps forming a border along the edge. A fragment of a Roman to Medieval pendant whetstone. The stone is rectangular in plan and square in cross-section. At one end it is perforated by a circular hole to secure it via a thong or suspension ring to a strap or belt. The material is brown to grey in colour and is possibly a finegrained sandstone or even a form of Schist. The faces are marked with scored lines as the scars of use. A Roman copper alloy Colchester two-piece brooch, double lug type (c. AD50-75). The brooch has a plate at the back of the head that is pierced twice; the axis bar for the spring passes through the lower hole and the external chord through the upper. A Roman copper alloy incomplete trumpet derivative brooch (AD 1st - 2nd century). The brooch has a hollow cast expanded head with a small head-loop and two perforated end-plates to secure the axis bar. The spring sits within the hollow head-plate. The spring, axis bar and pin are no longer present. At the base of the bow is a raised lip from which the flat foot-plate projects at a right angle.
