A copper alloy medieval strap end. The object has a straight top edge and tapers in the lower half to a rounded tip. It is worn and corroded but appears to have been cast in one piece with raised detail on the upper surface. This is in the form of a grid of pellets dividing the surface into two parallel vertical rows of six squares. Within each square is a lozenge arranged with its point in the inner corner of the grid. Further detail (and the presence of any rivets) is not clearly visible.

Large example of a Colchester derivative Polden Hill brooch (the Dolphin, flat wing ends type), Mackreth 2011, 4.l. Plate 48. Typical oval mouldings to either side of the head forming which extend beneath the head forming a bulgea bulge; rearward facing hook holds the chord of the spring which is housed in the semi-cylindrical head with perforated end lugs supporting the axis bar. The bow is decorated with a triple median rib moulding with zig-zag centre line, the rib bi-furcates at the top of the head to form a petal to either side of the hook. Copper alloy dress hook, dating to the medieval period. The dress hook has a rectangular shaped body which is slightly convex is appearance. There is an iron hook at the end, and two iron rivets in the body. The back of the hook has some corrosion products with what appears to be an iron loop attached, this could possible be part of some chain mail. The body of the hook is decorated with neilo and gold gilding, and the front has a central ridge running down the centre.

A cast lead alloy toy plate dating to the 1640’s. The plate is both damaged around the outside edge (flange) and is suffering from corrosion which leads much of the surface design to be undecipherable. The plate is flat, with a broad flat flange, which has some residual evidence of scroll decoration. In the centre of the plate is a five petelled double rose surrounded by a foliate scroll.
