Probably a contemporary copy of a 3rd-century copper-alloy Roman radiate of Tetricus I (c. 275 - c. 285 AD). Although the line between a 'good' copy and a 'bad' original is a fine one, it is suggested that this coin copies the 'Hilaritas' reverse illustrated in Reece and James (2000, 29; ref. 35).
