Leg fragment of a cast copper alloy vessel. Probably part of a cauldron of Post Medieval date (AD 1500 - AD 1700). Length 36.0mm, width 26.0mm and 16.0mm thick. Weight 59.03g. The front is convex and has a rounded base. The top of the fragment, where there is an old break, is triangular in cross section, flat at the rear. Just below this break, at the front, is a prominent transverse rib. The whole of the rear face is flat. The surfaces are corroded. A patina has not survived.

A wrought iron key dating to the late medieval to post-medieval period. The key comprises a solid, circular sectioned stem – with a projecting tip which all survives intact. Only part of the bow (approximately 25%) of the key survives, the breaks are extremely worn and corroded (due to rusting). The bit is also broken and only one part of it survives, again the breaks are extremely worn and corroded (due to rusting). The key is very rusty and is a mid reddish-brown colour. Large cracks occur on the surface of the key.

A cast copper alloy possible casting mould, possibly used for casting lead musket shot. The object is rectangular in shape and measures 76.02 mm x 21.59 mm and is 10.01 mm thick. The object tapers and gets slightly thinner to one end. The object is curved along the length. Two holes have been drilled into each end of the object in the corners of the copper alloy plate. A Middle Bronze Age Palstave Adze with a damaged butt. It measures 132.6mm in length with a cutting edge 32.5mm wide. The surface is pitted. The cutting edge is chamfered and worn on a slant. Around this edge and the sides of he palstave much of the golden brown patina has been lost. Weighs 176.92g. The shelf is deep on either side (7.5 and 8.3mm) and the hafting end c. on third the length of the adze. A complete cast in one copper alloy object, a drawer handle of post-medieval date (AD 1660-1710). The object comprises a curved plate of copper alloy which is rectangular. Projecting out from one end is double fork, possibly an attachment which splays outwards. Projecting out from the other end there is a decoratively mould rectangular loop, with a pierced rectangular hole. There is some iron corrosion around this area. For a similar example see Read (1995, 162; ref. 1086).

A cast copper alloy mount. The mount comprises three main features, but it is unclear which way around the mount would have been positioned. The main body of the mount is oval in shape and has been decorated with incised lines, made to resemble a shell. Projecting out of the tip of this main section is a rounded knop with a circular terminal. On the other side of the main section there is some sort of attachment fitting (now broken). A fragment of a cast copper-alloy thimble, probably dating to the 15th - 16th centuries. The thimble is tall with a rounded top. The indentations in the thimble are also round. The indentations have been arranged in slightly irregular rows. This thimble has been cast as one piece. The thimble does not thicken around the base. The copper alloy survives in a very poor condition and the surface is heavily pitted. The rim is also damaged.

A Roman copper-alloy and enamel brooch in the form of a boar, complete apart from the missing pin. The long pointed snout curves upwards, the ears point forwards and there are horizontal ridges at the brow and at the top of the snout. The mane is defined by oblique grooves; many of which retain the white metal coating. After the mane, the back levels, before rising again above the haunches to create a ‘hog’s back’ profile with a short tail, which is defined by oblique grooves which retain traces of mid-green enamel. Post Medieval copper alloy and gemstone fob seal, 30mm high, 19mm long and 16mm wide. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 7.25g. The seal dates to the Georgian period and consists of decorative semi-circular arch made up of foliate scrolls with a suspension loop above. This sits on a hollow dome decorated with raised lines which radiate towards its centre. It contains a rectangular gem stone which is a dark pink colour and is decorated with a male bust, the top of which is damaged. It has the name D YORK inscribed (retrograde) below it.

Bronze Age flint barbed and tanged arrowhead, 22mm long, 22mm wide and 4mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a light brown patina and weighs 1.55 grams. The arrowhead is triangular in form with a rectangular shaped barb and tang. It has been finely worked, but is missing its tip and one barb. Its surface has also begun to re-corticate.
