This sherd has a ‘salmon pink’ inner fabric with a dark brown glaze on the inside of the vessel over a lower dark pink slip. The pink slip is also visible on the outside of the sherd. A worn cast copper-alloy fragment: part of the frame of a late medieval or early post-medieval purse. The object is V-shaped in section until it expands into a solid element through forty-five degrees. This solid element takes the shape of a rectangle with rounded corners in cross-section (L.: c. 18mm; W.: 7.3mm; Th.: 2.9mm). At an angle of about 120 degrees to the solid element is a broken attachment loop (L: 9.6mm; W.: 8.2mm; Th.: 2.1mm). This loop would have hung around the end of the purse bar. A worn and corroded lead cloth seal of probable 16th to 18th century AD date. The object consists of two sub-circular discs joined by a folded connecting strip. One side bears a motif comprising the letters "W" over "SC", separated by a cross of branches. The reverse possibly has the letters "NIL", with a central letter "I", although this is by no means certain due to the poor condition. It measures 24mm in diameter by 4.4mm thick and weighs 8.39g.

Post Medieval Composite white-metal coated circular copper alloy dress hook, end of hook and attachment loop missing. Components comprise a back plate decorated with fourteen peripheral notches, a hook soldered to, and attachment loop riveted through, the back plate, and an elaborately decorated and domed front. Ornament consists of filigree encircling the base below five annulets and in rings around six empty collets. There are also nine pellets. In the base of each collet a small off-centre perforation would have served to attach a setting. Diameter 19mm. Height 9mm. 16th century.

Copper alloy worn Roman Headstud brooch dating to the 2nd century. The brooch has a hinge pin mechanism and the remains of a decorative blue enamelled stud at the base of the head (hence the name). On the back of the brooch there is a worn raised ridge which would have extended to become the catch plate although the foot of the brooch has worn away. The brooch weighs 5.3g and measures 28.7mm in length, 15.1mm in width and 8.6mm in thickness.

The top is moulded with frog (viewed from above). Identified by Jim Halliday. Post-medieval, probably C19th/early C20th. An exact parallel was found at Hintlesham, Suffolk and reported to the PAS, Find ID SF10571. An example bearing a male figure was found in Lancashire (E83DD3).

Cast copper alloy single-looped, kidney-shaped buckle frame with a moulded bifid lobed knop on either side of the pin rest on the front edge. The frame has a flat base and a convex profile in cross-section. The pin bar is narrowed and offset outside the oval shape of the frame and the pin is tapered to a point and is 13 mm long and 1.5 mm thick. Similar to an example in Read's History Beneath Our Feet, p.61, No.267 and in Whitehead's Buckles, p.24, No.116, which are dated to c.1450-1550.
