A cast copper-alloy laver handle lug in the form of female head from the Medieval period. The face and hair is incised and simple in detail. THe eyes are almond-shaped with no further detail. The mouth is an ouline of lips. The hair is centrally parted and pulled to the back of the head, framing the face. The back of the head has a hole approximately 10mm in depth and 10mm in diameter, presumably for mounting. The neck and shoulders of the object have no detail, but it should be noted a file mark is found on the back of the object, near a shoulder. See also LEIC-EC41E7 and LEIC-B57590.

Two of the sheet repairs are conjoined. Each repair is irregular in plan and cross section and would originally have been formed from a single sheet rolled into a cone and inserted through the damaged area or tear in the metal or ceramic vessel. The cone would then have been crushed against the vessel to form a water tight repair. This form of repair is relatively common in late medieval and post medieval urban contexts. The metal repairs measure 22.4mm length, 15.6mm width, is 10.8mm thick and weighs 6.12 grams; the other repair measures 15.7mm length, 18mm width is 11.6mm thick and weighs 8.81 grams. Each of the repairs is a bright brass yellow colour with no visible green patina present. The colour of these objects is likely to be du to them being deposited in running water. The thimble is dome-shaped and slightly flattened due to damage. It has three vertical fractures on the lower sides of the wall. The rim is plain and not thickened and does not have a maker’s mark or any “nicks” that might be related to a manufacturing technique. It has fifteen/sixteen spiral turns of circular hand-punched indentations, irregular in size, that spiral from the rim towards the top in a clockwise direction. The apex is bare.

Lead alloy post medieval syringe, probably dating to the 18th century. It is cast in three pieces. There is a circular hoop at the end, and a cylindrical body.
There are several similar syringes on the PAS database, mainly found on the Thames foreshore. Dating evidence comes from a similar syringe found in the wreck of the Machault, which sank off eastern Canada in 1760 (Sullivan 1986, 87).
