Fragment of cast copper-alloy simple terret ring. This fragment represents approximately two thirds of the original object. What remains is the straight bar and approximately one third of the loop projecting from either side of the bar. The straight bar has a surviving length of 25.02mm. It is sub rectangular in plan and section. At either end of the bar is an integral collar, from which the loop springs. The collars are 11mm and 9.8mm high, 8mm wide and approximately 3mm thick. A probable Bronze Age knife of the Urnfield tradition. It measures 164mm in length (although it is slightly bent in profile) and with a max width of 28mm just behind the tang. The tang is a faceted circle in section, max 8mm diameter and 18.5mm long. The top of the knife is 6mm wide, narrowing to the sharp blade which thins in width to the point. A Late Iron Age cast potin of post c. 57 BC. Diameter 19mm. Weight 3.73g. This potin is traditionally attributed to the Remi of Belgic Gaul. The obverse is a bucranium or bull's head facing and the reverse is described in the British Museum catalogue (BMC III, Bronze coins of Gaul, 511-518) as 'bear-like animal r., attacking ?serpent'. The catalogue notes that the reverse is probably based on Julius Caesar's denarius with an elephant trampling a serpent (Crawford 443/1, 49-48 BC), and the obverse is possibly an imitation of another denarius of C. Complete copper alloy circular cauldron with three feet and two opposing lugs. The base is rounded and slightly pointed at the centre of the bottom, with a raised line from the mould running across it. A Post Medieval lead alloy powder measure dating from c. AD 1600 to 1700. The powder measure is now squashed and mis-shapen, however it would have originally had a cup-like appearance, with a circular base and sides which tapred outwards towards the circular open top. There is a vertical casting seam on one side of the vessel body. At the base are the remains of two semi-circular attachment loops at opposite sides to each other. A lump of slag foung just outside the standing remains of a vicus building 10 meteres south of Housesteads Roman fort. The slag was found near another large lump (1kg+) of slag approximately 2 meters away. Both lumps of slag were found near rabbit burrows.

A cast copper-alloy harness pendant of medieval date. The body of the pendant is sub-circular and slightly convex. The suspension loop, which is turned through ninety degrees, projects from one side of the pendant. It is the shape of a rectangle with rounded corners in section.
