A fragment of probable speculum probably originally from a Roman mirror. This fragment is roughly triangular in shape with one convex edge which appears to be original and slightly bevelled. The fragment measures 25.1mm by 18.1mm in size and one face is shiny and reflective and the other rough to the touch and pitted. Similar mirror fragments have been found elsewhere in Suffolk from Hitcham, see SF-1EF1D4 and Offton see SF-22FEC1.

Two probable lead spindle whorls which could be Roman or later in date as their form changes little through time. 1: Conical and measuring 23.4mm in diameter across its flat circular base and 13.2mm in height with a central circular perforation of c9mm. It weighs 21.74g. 2: Oval in plan measuring 24.7mm in length, 22.3mm in width and 16mm in height with a central oval perforation 8.8mm in length and 6mm in width. It weighs 49.78g.

Half of a copper-alloy post medieval double oval looped buckle frame. Measuring 23.7mm in surviving width and 24mm in length. There is a decorative flower moulding where the bar joins the frame and another larger one in the centre of the surviving outer edge.

Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch, 49mm long and 11mm wide. The brooch is in a fair condition with a green patina and weighs 9.57 grams. The brooch is missing most of its spring, thouogh one coil on each side is present. The body has an arrow shaped decoration on its upper quarter and has a rounded protrusion forming its neck. The brooch is rather plain and has an intact catchplate, 21mm long and 10mm wide at the catch.

Roman copper alloy crossbow brooch, 72mm long and 51mm wide. The brooch is intact with a brown patina and weighs 29.77grams. The brooch consists of a hexagonal sectioned arm which has angular rounded terminals. The bow has a triangular section and terminates with another angular roundel. The bow follows a semi-circular course and becomes square in section where it joins the catchplate. This is contained within a square sectioned shaft and the pin is accomodated by a tapering slit down one side.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy lozenge-shaped strip brooch with remains of gilding and iron corrosion on the back, dating to the late 8th/ early 9th century AD (length: 90.7mm; width: 66mm; thickness of plate: 1.6mm; weight: 30.23g). At the top of this flat plate brooch, there is a large slightly extending area of iron corrosion, where the iron spring was situated. A complete copper-alloy sheet rivet, used to repair splits in sheet vessels. It has the characteristic uneven hexagonal outline and is folded from a cut lozenge shape. It measures 28.4mm in length and 17.2mm in width. It has a black patina due exposure to an open fire, it is therefore most likely that this rivet was used to repair a cooking vessel of some kind, which then continued to be used in an open fire. Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, Middle Severn Valley), cf. Mackreth 2011, 3.a, Plate 46, pg. 71. It is 38 mm long and 23mm wide. The brooch has half its spring intact which consists of seven turns. It has a damaged openwork catchplate and the pin is missing. It is decorated on the wings with two vertical incised lines on each side. The bow has three converging raised lines running its length, the central one is raised above the surface forming a 'crest'.

Roman copper-alloy fleur-de-lis key handle. Tri-lobed openwork handle, with a rounded knop on the end of the larger, central lobe. One of the side lobes is larger than the other. There is a groove where the handle meets the lozenge-sectioned stem. Each facet of the stem is decorated with a pair of diagonal crossed lines. Thhe hollow stem is broken. A cast copper-alloy fragment probably from the foot of a copper-alloy cooking vessel, 1300-1600 AD. This fragment appears to be the terminal of a foot and is rectangular in shape with a flat underside and back, and three rounded lobes on the face, it measures 43.6mm in width, 24.9mm in height and 15mm in thickness. There is a black sooty deposit adhering to all faces of this foot, indicating that it has been used in an open fire.
