An incomplete cast copper alloy derivative three-link type bridle bit, probably dating to the Iron Age between 500 BCAD 43 (length: 73mm; width at loop: 13.3mm; thickness at centre: 11.3mm; weight: unknown). The artefact consists of a slightly curved square-sectioned bar with a protruding collar in the centre, which has two incised lines to either side. At both ends, the looped terminals are broken, although one is more complete than the other. The fitting is worn but in fair condition with small areas of bronze disease at the collar. The artefact has been coated in a material.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy lozenge-shaped strip brooch with remains of gilding and iron corrosion on the back, dating to the late 8th/ early 9th century AD (length: 90.7mm; width: 66mm; thickness of plate: 1.6mm; weight: 30.23g). The object is a Post Medieval button, dating to the 17th century. Read, B (Metal Buttons 2005) illustrates similar buttons, Nos. 152 etc. which have similar dating. The button is made of cast copper alloy. In plan it is circular and the head is 5.12mm thick with rounded edges. The sherd is a portion of a rim, of an unknown type of vessel. The vessel is a utilitarian type of vessel rather than table ware. The rim, in profile is curvaeous, and is similar shape to a mushroom. It has a bulbous 'head' in prfoile with a narrowed body beneath. The sherd is either Roman or Medieval. The fabric is a reduced ware. hard, and the surface has a mottled grey/black colour. This maybe due to smoke, rather than the colour of the fabric. There are no obvious inclusions. The fabric is otherwise a mid grey colour. The sherd weighs 22.2g and is slightly abraded.

The object is possibly a harness fitting, or a strap guide. The heavy surface pitting and style perhaps suggests a late Iron Age or early Roman date. In plan the object is a sub-rectangle with expanded and rounded terminals and abraded edges. A cast copper alloy single looped oval buckle, with an ornate outer edge. The strap bar is narrowed and off-set. The outer edge of the buckle frame has a notch for the pin to sit in. It is complete, but the pin is missing. The metal is a dark brownish-green colour. These buckles date from circa AD 1250 - 1400. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, 2003, p23.

A cast copper alloy double loop oval sword belt hanger. The frame is complete and has angled outer edges. The suspension loop has been set at a 90° angle to the main body of the sword belt hanger. The metal has lost most of its original surface and the metal is a mid greyish-green colour and is pitted. This type of sword belt hanger dates from circa 1500 - 1650. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, 2003, p72.

A cast copper alloy hooked tag. The object has been decoratively moulded in an openwork tree design within a sub circular rope work border. The reverse is undecorated. There is a knop projecting from the centre of the border at the top of the tree where the hook has broken off; the break is worn. The border extends below the tree to form an open rectangle (through which a ribbon could be passed). The metal is a mid-greenish brown colour. This object is post medieval in date.

A cast copper alloy dagger chape. All that survives is the front plate from a two piece chape. The plate has been cast in one piece. The chape tapers from a concave open edge to a knopped terminal, with a central heart shaped aperture. The upper (open) edge is curved with a deep curve. The back plate is now missing. The metal is a dark jade-green colour and it is very smooth and shiny. It dates to the 14th – 16th century. Parallels for this object can be found in Biddle 1990, Volume II, page 1083 reference 4036; and Egan 2006, page 193 ref: 1080.
