Medieval copper alloy toggle 16mm long and 8mm wide. The toggle is oval in form and semi-circular in section with moulded decoration on its surface. It has a large integral loop in the centre of its reverse, which is 'pear-shaped' and houses the remains of a large circular hole.

Late Saxon/Medieval Rotary key for mounted lock, lozengiform bow with lobe at three corners, shank split just beyond junction with bow, upper part now bent upwards, bit with one cleft. Goodall’s Type 5 (Biddle Winchester 1990, 1007, fig.327 nos.3781-4). Length 42mm, width of bow 24mm, width across bit 21mm, thickness 4.5mm. 11th – 13th century.

Medieval Padlock, complete apart from arm and bolt collar from mechanism. Case of sub-square section but with trapezoidal extension along the underside to accommodate a third strip of springs, the iron remains of which can be seen inside of the case and on the outside of the mechanism. The extension narrows along the case and terminates before the key aperture. T-shaped aperture continuing onto underside (main part 9.5mm x 8mm).
