A Medieval iron arrowhead (11th – 14th century). The arrowhead is socketed (diameter of socket: 10.14mm) with splayed cutting barbs. The barbs are broken and missing and there is some damage to the end of the socket with a small section missing. Jessop (1997) identifies a range of early multi-purpose forms dating from the 11th – 14th century and this example fits comfortably within that bracket.
Dimensions: length: 56.72mm; width: 30.17mm; thickness: 8.85mm; diameter: 10.14mm; weight: 13.26g.
