A Prehistoric flint flake (probably Mesolithic – Neolithic 8,300-2,100BC). The flake is tertiary with no cortex remaining. The end is broken and there is some damage to the central face that obscures the flake removal scars. There is possibly some find retouch, worked unifacially, along the left edge but this may have been caused by crushing. Pale-mid grey mottled flint with an opaque patina. Dimensions: length: 21.11mm; width: 15.65mm; thickness: 4.47mm; weight: 1.25g.
