Three core rejuvenation flakes, dating to the late Mesolithic to Middle Neolithic period (circa 6300-2500 BC). 1) 47.4g 2) 43.1g 3) 12.5g. The smallest flake has been illustrated, see attached. These flakes are formed when a core can no longer have flakes removed from it due to the angles on the striking platform. In order to make the core usable again the flint knapper would remove a flat flake from across the top of the core to ‘tidy up’ the striking platform and make it usable again.

Broad period: UNKNOWN
County: Suffolk
Workflow stage: Published Find published
A copper-alloy unidentified object, date unknown. This object consists of a sheet of copper-alloy folded round to form a cylindrical tube measuring 30mm in length and 12.7mm in width externally. The two long edges of the sheet meet and have central longitudinal rectangular projections. The outer face of the sheet is decorated with transverse mouldings. No parallel could be found for this object which is presumably a decorative mount of some kind, which could have been attached to another object via the two longitudinal rectangular projections along its edges.
