A lead seal matrix of medieval date. Personal seal, probably dating from the 12th to 13th century AD. The object is vesica-shaped and measures 37mm long by 23mm wide and 2mm thick. It has a central image of an eight-pointed star and a deeply-incised legend around the outside, which reads: X S'SIMON - WITTARC (Seal of Simon Wittarc). On the reverse is the raised design of a sword-shaped cross. This extends the whole length of the seal and at one end there is a squashed suspension lug with a central circular hole. The object is slightly bent and corroded. It weighs 12.91g.

Anglo-Saxon cast copper alloy button brooch with a gilt surface. This brooch is an example of Avent and Evison Class Ai. Button brooches are circular in shape and resemble miniature saucer brooches, although the relationship between these two brooch classes is not clear. The brooch is 21.48mm in diameter, has a maximum thickness of 8.21mm and weighs 4.62 grams. The brooch is worn and corroded on the raised decoration and the rim, with gilding remaining only in the recesses on the brooch and on the decorative border. Cast lead alloy nummular brooch. The brooch is circular with upturned rim. The front of the rim is decorated with a series of small dots or rings. The centre of the brooch appears to show a very faint bust right, surrounded by ring-and-dots, probably derived from rings of filigree. The reverse retains the hinge and catchplate. Nummular brooches date to the 9th and 10th centuries AD.
