At the centre of the badge is a circle of pellets, but a specific design cannot be seen as the object is worn. The back of the badge has a vertical line where the pin would have been mounted. It is 25.8mm in diameter and weighs 5.69gm. A number of circular badges with similar dimensions are illustrated in Spencer, Salisbury Medieval Catalogue, Part 2, 1990, pages 76 and 77.
