Copper-alloy strap-end of crescentic type. The terminal is lozenge-shaped, and decorated in low relief with grooved detail to resemble a bush or tree. The attachment end is crescent-shaped, with the pointed ends curving round to almost meet around an oval aperture; they may possibly have originally been in one piece, and now be broken. The crescent has grooved decoration representing the roots of the tree or bush, interrupted by two copper-alloy and two iron rivets. The original sheet backplate is now missing. 15th century.
