Incomplete bronze looped palstave of Middle Bronze Age date (1500 BC - 1200 BC). Length 109mm, width, including the loop 41mm and 30mm thick. Weight 293.41g. A break has occurred about half way along the flanged butt end of the implement, possibly due to the apparent brittle nature of the material. This break is old. The butt has small slender flanges, raised to a maximum of 7mm above the septum which is about 10mm thick and the transverse stop-ridge is horizontal and at right angles to the flanges.
