Copper alloy brooch, Colchester derivative type with rear hook spring attachment. Missing spring, pin; damaged left wing, rear hook and catchplate (the latter very recently); bow bent with recent plough scratch; some surface corrosion. The wings are moulded: two pairs of notched ribs flank a broader plain rib. The bow back is slightly convex; the front convex and it tapers to a blunt point.
