A gilded copper alloy harness mount dating to the medieval period, probably thirteenth or fourteenth century. This is a pendant suspension mount from a horse-harness pendant. The mount is very well made and consists of a rectangular plate (11 x 13 mm), which is decorated with four vertical ridges. The ridges are semi-circular in cross-section, and decorated with transverse nicks. In between are three broad V-shaped vertical grooves that retain gilding in good condition. Circular copper-alloy brooch, 24 mm in diameter, with a raised border decorated with closely spaced transverse nicks. Neatly filling most of the sunken centre is a backward-looking animal in counter-relief, with four legs, a long neck and a large tail curled over the back. No details appear to have been added to the animal - there is no eye or mane - but the brooch is quite worn, and so these may have once been present. An incomplete copper-alloy composite strap end with a sheet spacer occupying its whole width. Only one outer sheet of this strap end and a fragment of the sheet spacer now survives, the rest is missing due to an old break. This strap end measures 52mm in surviving length and 11.5mm in width, it is rectangular in shape. The attachment end is worn and incomplete. The terminal end has a transverse projection, is then waisted and has a roughly lozenge shaped terminal with a copper-alloy rivet through its centre. A copper-alloy Roman nail. Measuring 40mm in total length. This nail has a cirular globular head measuring c10mm in diameter. The shaft has a worn square cross-section, measuring 4mm by 4mm and tapers towards its point. This nail is very worn and patches of active powdery green corrosion can be seen. This nail is most likely to have been used on Roman furniture upholstery.

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman hairpin, the shaft is incomplete due to an old break. The head of this pin is biconical in shape measuring c8mm in height and 7mm in diameter. The head tapers into the circular cross-sectioned shaft which is slightly bent and measures 38mm in surviving length and 2mm in width, it is tapering towards its missing tip. This pin is similar from another example from Ixworth, Suffolk (see SF-E53422) and fits into Cool's group 1 (Cool 1990 151-152, fig 1), pins with knob heads which were in use throughout the Roman period.

A copper-alloy medieval buckle. The object is broadly of a crescent shape with a trapezoidal terminal. The arms of the crescent terminate in sub-rectangular knops. The arms of the crescent are now bent out of shape. The obverse of the object is decorated with three ribs where each arm meets the trapezoid. The trapezoid is decorated with two triangles formed of two lines of circular dots. The obverse of the object is slightly curved. The reverse is flat and undecorated. Traces of gilding remain on the obverse of the object.

A fragment of a pipe clay tobacco pipe, dating to the late seventeenth century. The fragment consists of the bowl and part of the stem. The bowl is bulbous in shape with a flat base. The flat base is stamped with a heart. Within the heart are the intials 'EC'. Below the initials is a small flower head. The stem is broken away in the area where it meets with the bowl. The interior of the stem is blackened demonstrating that the pipe was used. The maximum diameter of the bowl is 18mm; its length is 37mm. The bowl is similar in shape to those manufactured in Bristol in the period 1640-1670.

A complete copper-alloy thimble, slightly distorted measuring 18mm in height and 19mm in rim diameter. The sides are straight and the top pointed. The sides are decorated with worn vertical rows of circular indentations and the top with horizontal rows of circular indentations. The centre of the top is bare. This thimble is most likely to be medieval and 14th century in date, due to the arrangement of its decorative indentations.

Circular lead weight with a diameter of 48mm and a thickness of 25mm. It has a shiny patina. One face has an oval depression 24x30mm and 4mm deep. The surface here is rough with two tiny 1mmx1mm in section holes, 2mm apart. The shiny patina is not present. The opposite face has an area c.20x15mm lighter in colour and without the shiny-sheen the patina has elsewhere. This suggests the object may have been used for working other objects on. Weighs 445g to the nearest 5g.

A copper alloy finger ring of probable Roman date. The finger ring is formed from a cast length of semi-circular (D shaped) section copper alloy sheet or thick wire. The wire is 3.3mm wide and 3.1mm thick. It has been bent to form a sub-circular ring of two turns with an overlapping terminal. Each terminal has been clipped and filed into a flattened U shape, but there seems to be no cast or incised decoration on either of them.
