A cast copper-alloy unidentified object. This object is shaped like a crown with four points, arranged in pairs opposing eachother. The object is hollow and rectangular in cross-section measuring 17mm by 13mm in size and 9mm in thickness. No parallel could be found for this object but it is most likely to be medieval in date and could possibly be a decorative fitting for a knife or dagger.

A complete hollow copper-alloy ring formed from two halves. This ring is c18mm in external diameter and c8mm in internal diameter. One half of the hoop of this ring is extened with an oval cross-section and has a width of 8mm the other half is not and has a width of 3.5mm. Although no parallel could be found for this ring it is likely to have had a decorative function, hanging from the thinner half of the hoop from a strap, perhaps a harness strap. A collection of 16 sherds of wheelmade post-medieval pottery weighing (collectively 90g). The sherds are so fragmentary it is difficult to see any defining features. All of the sherds appear to be post-medieval in date, dating from circa 1700 - 1900. Six of the sherds have been glazed. A small rim sherd (weighing just 3.7g) has a multi-coloured glaze on both surfaces; this sherd has been salt glazed. The other five glazed sherds are all body sherds. Part of a post medieval copper alloy 'crotal' bell. About a third of the bell is present.One edge of a transverse sound slot can be seen, which terminates in circular sound holes. Half of a sound hole can also be seen on the upper side of the bell. There is a semi-circle incised on the bottom of the bell, with incised lines radiating out from it.

Fragment of a copper-alloy cosmetic grinder of Roman date. The surviving portion is one end of a cosmetic grinder with a suspension loop. The loop is large and circular with a break in the edge. There is a small curved projection in front of the loop on the underside of the grinder. Viewed from above the grinder flares out and has a recess in the upper surface. It has a U-shaped cross-section. The projection curves slightly back towards the loop and tapers to a point. Dimensions: 24.01mm by 11.37mm by 6.77mm. Weight: 3.41g.

Copper alloy, post-medieval mount with integral pointed lugs. The mount is circular and domed, consisting of two concentric circles with a central incuse pellet. The back of the mount is hollow and the remains of the two lugs or rivets are present on opposing edges of the mount. The mount weighs 2.61g and measures 17.03mm in diameter and 9.56mm in thickness. An identical parallel can be seen in Brian Reads 'Metal Artefacts of Antiquity' page 33, fig.18, no.266.

An incomplete early-medieval copper-alloy key. The bow is incomplete due to an old break but appears to have been circular. The stem is cylindrical, measuring 19mm in length; it is solid but bored to be hollow at the end. It has two pairs of circumferential grooves around it. The bit is worn and projects at right angles from the underside of the end of the stem; it is rectangular, measuring 17mm in length and 10mm in width. It has two rectangular projections projecting at right angles from its terminal end, giving an L-section. These are worn. This key is most likely to be 9th to 11…

Only one of the sherds is a rim sherd, the other five are all body sherds, one of which has three transverse grooves scored into the exterior of the pot. The six sherds are have a high mica content and they are all a light reddish-brown colour. These sherds appear to be medieval in date (c. 1300-1500) but a later date cannot be ruled out. The rim sherd weighs 6.2g, the others weigh 10.4g, 7.5g, 5.2g, 3.8g and 3.5g.
