An incomplete copper-alloy early Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch. The head and bow of this brooch survive the rest is missing due to an old break, now worn. The brooch measures 53mm in surviving length. The head has an integral full-round top knob. The central panel of the head survives, measuring 13mm in height and 14mm in width, and there are no side wings, the edge of the central panel is worn. The bow measures 27mm in length and 10mm in width. The remains of the pin loop can be seen on the back face of the central panel of the head. This brooch is likely to be fifth-century in …

Eighteen sherds of coarse ware pottery of Roman date. Hand made and not high-fired. Four base sherds weigh 410g. and fourteen body sherds weigh 372g. Total weight 782g. The breaks are old. However, some of the sherds join together. The outside of fabric is a dark grey/black colour and has two orange coloured margins within. The tempering is rounded quartz with silver mica. All the sherds appear to belong to a single vessel and it can be estimated that the base of the vessel, when complete, was about 10cm in diameter.
