A cast copper-alloy two-piece scabbard chape with a knop terminal and openwork design. The front plate of the chape is incomplete. Just over half of the chape is missing. The entire reverse is also missing. The chape survives in two pieces, the second piece is only a small fragment which can not be fitted back onto the main body of the chape. The front plate of the chape has a raised ridge running down the centre of the chape which divides the design of the chape into two symmetrical halves.
