Cast copper-alloy buckle frame, probably 17th century. The frame is square with inward-curving sides, a outcurved front and a narrowed bar. There is a circular knop at the pin rest with a grooved recess for the pin. The pin is missing. The buckle has a dark brown patina. It is 28mm long and 24mm wide, and weighs 12.5g. A parallel can be seen in Whitehead (2003), number 145.

17th century lead seal. Circular in plan, this seal has a knop on the reverse. Radiating from the knop are three moulded raised lines, barred with a horizontal raised line. The obverse shows a possible bust, but is mostly illegible. The diameter of the seal is 21mm, it is 11mm thick with the knop and 4mm thick without. It weighs 9g.

Incomplete cast copper alloy sword belt fitting. This fitting is 15mm long, 5mm wide and weighs 6.5g. It has an integral hook at one end and ends in a trifoliate design at the opposite end.It is decorated with an incised foliate design. Two iron rivets survive. There is a parallel in Read, 2001, Metal Artefacts of Antiquity, figure 26, number 373.

17th century cast lead token. Circular in plan with a diametr of 21mm and weighing 4 g. One side of the token has a design of a five petalled daisy, with a dimple to the centre and two further dimples around the daisy. On the reverse is the letter L with SH beneath.

14th century cast,copper alloy strap end. Cast in one piece, this strap end is subrectangular in plan and tapers to a rounded point.It is semicircular in section. It is 46mm long, 5mm thick and weighs 7.5g. The top of the strap end is splayed for fixing to a leather strap and two partial rivet holes are visible. The patina of the object is dark brown with signs of tinning on the reverse. It probably dates to the 14th century.

Cast, copper alloy,medieval casket key. This key has an oval hoop with a two lobed protrusion inside the hoop at the junction of stem. Beneath the hoop the shaft of the key is cylindrical in section and tapers to a point. The bit of the key is plain, in that it is a solid rectangle of metal without teeth. It is 34mm long and weighs 3 g. A parallel can be seen in Read, 1995, Histroy beneath our feet, page 87, number 527.

Copper-alloy Palstave of probable early middle Bronze Age date. Object is complete and in reasonable condition, with a dark brown patina and only slight pitting. The section into which the haft would have fitted measures 48.2mm long by 18.9mm wide. It has well-defined flanges, which are up to 7mm deep and 32.7mm long, dying out short of the top of the object. The stop ridge is also well-defined. Below the stop ridge is a shield pattern with a median rib extending as far as the start of the cutting edge. The blade itself is flat and measures 45.8mm wide. Copper-alloy figurine of Hercules, possibly from a Roman knife handle. The figure is standing facing forward and is unclothed. He holds a club in his right hand and possibly a snake in his left hand. The figure measures 40.8mm high by 23.8mm wide. He stands on a rectangular plinth, 16.5mm long by 8mm wide and 3.7mm thick. The outer face of the plinth is decorated by two borders of repeating vertical engraved lines, separated by a horizonal engraved line. A cast copper-alloy stirrup strap mount of Williams Class A, type 10C. This mount is roughly triangular in shape, measuring 50mm in surviving height, the apex loop is now missing due to old breaks, and 34mm in width at its widest point. Unusually it does not have a flange. But there are two large parallel circular fixing holes.

Two fragments of the copper alloy lining for a large font, basin or laver. One fragment measures 51mm in width and 43mm in height with a maximum thickness of 7mm. It consists of central, slightly curved, rectangular section core of copper alloy. A further thin sheet of copper alloy has been wrapped over this core. The rim of the fragment curves outwards slightly. The inside surface of the fragment is smooth and appears to have been silvered, whilst the outer surface is rough and uneven. Copper-alloy buckle frame of medieval or early post-medieval date (about 1250 to 1650 AD). The frame is D-shaped, with only a slight distinction between the bar and the loop. It measures 13.8mm long by 18mm wide and 1.3mm thick. The loop has an undecorated convex upper surface and a flat reverse. The pin measures 14.3mm long and is made from copper-alloy wire which tapers to a point. It is fixed to the bar by winding it around once. It weighs 1.38g.

Upper portion of a cast copper alloy enamelled Roman brooch. Part of pin still attatched to a pin-bar-lug and moves freely. One end of lug is damaged/corroded to reveal the pin-bar. From the lugs, the brooch narrows steeply, but main body part is broken, and so the exact type of tool/pendant is unknown. Front of brooch is decorated with 5 square enamelled panels; 3 across the lugs and two down the front, decorated alternately in blue and red enamel.
